I was lucky enough to be chosen for the SUYS design team for 2016 And couldn't wait to get started. So each month (mid) you will see what I have created for the challenge.
The challenge this month was based on this mood board that was sponsored by coco vanilla studio.
And this is what I created..
I have had a raw wooden bracelet hanging out in my to-do something one day with it pile and finally the perfect idea!
So I grabbed the white gesso and painted it vivid white. I then added chevron tissue paper with gel medium to the inside and out came my colour blast texture paste in 'raspberry' to do the outside. It was done very roughly using my fingers so it has plenty of texture. It looks sensational close- up. You will have to trust me on that one!
then it was time to dig into the stash for items that screamed summer/beach/sunshine and matched with the mood board colour range. I used plenty of helmars 450 adhesive to get it all to stick!
Here is the list of what came from where ..
Continuing circles in teal as the background item from my store - The Resin Rainbow
Resin Dots in pink/white stripe, light green/white, pink ombré, mint green from my store - The Resin Rainbow
Hot Pink Scallop in 3 sections is actually a scallop border that I cut up from my store - The Resin Rainbow
White daisies (a set of 5, but I didn't use them all) from my store - The Resin Rainbow
White stars from my store - The Resin Rainbow
Pink Dolphin is part of 'mermaid tales' set
Wooden birds from Corbett Creations.
White Circle Mesh, teal daisies, pink frangipani flower from delish scraps
metal charms from my stash except the pineapple which was purchased on eBay and started life as a earring.
Here are some more close-up images .. It wasn't easy getting images of it!
