Show Us Your Stuff June Challenge

Hi Everyone

The challenge this month at Show Us Your Stuff was all about using up abandoned supplies. It was one that I figured ALOT of people would be able to do simple because - lets face it, we all have supplies that we have moved on from or we purchased on a whim or just because. So with that idea in mind, and me being a tiny bit of a hoarder it was time to make the most of the opportunity!

So the idea is to use at least 1 abandoned/no longer loved supply and incorporate it into this sketch!

The sketch this month was sponsored by my own store The Resin Rainbow with a gift certificate valued at $10 for a lucky scrapper!

My entry was a full of colour variety that featured a few abandoned supplies as well as some awesome resin embellishments!  .. I had some creative fun with this one and layered the background with TH lime green mixed with gesso, then I used a dot mask and poured a steady stream of white in curves all over the top - very ala Anita Rodway!

The abandoned items I used was the white embroidery floss and the lime green flag. It turns out I dont have that many abandoned supplies, because i have such a small space I dont tend to hoard as much as I thought - except paint, and resin and moulds ..

Handmade embellishments: Lime green flag from Rainbow Splendour,
Resin dots, black Daisy, clear stars and resin roses all from The Resin Rainbow
Yum-o flair is actually a badge from Wendy's - repurposed (finally!), it has been in my stash for at least 5 years.

So now that you have seen mine, follow this link for all the rest of the details and to see what the rest of the incredibly DT have done with the same challenge!

Happy Scrapping!
Cheers
Janet xx
